“The Legacy of John K. Sears”
In loving memory of our incredibly talented founder, whose vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication continue to inspire us every day. Though tragically taken from us far too soon, John left behind a profound legacy of passion, innovation and unwavering commitment to excellence. His vision laid the foundation upon which SC Services stands today and his values resonate in every project we undertake. As we carry forward his torch, we honor his memory by embodying the same principles of integrity, resilience, and relentless pursuit of excellence that defined his life. John will forever remain an integral part of our story, guiding our journey and shaping our future as we strive to fulfill his vision and make him proud. As a tribute to John, we have launched a memorial scholarship at Michigan State University which will be given to an entrepreneurship student each year.
“John K. Sears was a man with an unassuming demeanor that navigated life’s complexities with a quiet confidence and an immeasurable tolerance for risk. An entrepreneurial and restless spirit beneath a humble exterior. He carried a certain wisdom beyond his years and found value where others saw none. John’s legacy is a simple reminder to maintain life balance in the pursuit of greatness, as time is beyond our control.”
– Justin VanEffen, President of Halyard and Dear Friend of John
